Re: Texas is open!
Several times she's said people put more thought into the car and home they buy than they do into injecting themselves with this vaccine as if to imply adults don't take their decision to vaccinate as seriously as a major purchase.
That's the equivalent of saying adults who decline the vaccine at this time haven't thought their decision through or taken it seriously.
I guess people generally feel less pressured into buying a Ford Fiesta than they do making whatever tf decision they want about their health and their body?

No, my point is that some people put more thought into things that are less important than putting something into your body.

To be fair, you're trying to rationalize with someone who gets her expertise from My 600lb Life.

How do you know? Did you take a survey? Did you quantify number of hours spent on each topic? How did you reach this condescending conclusion that some adults don't understand the gravity of their decision no matter what it may be and then how did you apply it to the general population?

Any time I hear the word sheep used to describe people, I immediately feel like someone is trying to goad or manipulate me. Since the pandemic, nearly every online reference to sheep or (cringe) sheeple that I have seen has come from someone or something peddling misinformation and conspiracy theories.

Would you consider a person who gets scammed a sheep or sheeple since they are being led by someone?

I don't fully understand this question. I hope I would have compassion for someone who got scammed and not necessarily think I would have known better. I similarly don't think that my ability to process, and interpret scientific research and information surpasses that of a community that has devoted their lives to studying science and epidemiology.

Are they having concerts and sporting events at full capacity?
For the first time in any major sport since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the Texas Rangers plan to play in front of a full house on Opening Day – before putting restrictions back in place for the following games.
The Rangers announced Wednesday that they will fully open their new stadium, Globe Life Field, to 40,518 fans for Opening Day on April 5 against the Blue Jays.
After Opening Day, the Rangers will introduce social-distanced seating sections, though the team is requiring fans to wear a mask for all games. There will be a “three-strike” policy for warnings about not wearing masks, according to reports.

And a week after opening day, we'll get to hear all about the massive COVID spike thanks to these superspreader events. That'll be fun.

No, no, no. She’s basing it on her “expertise.” She’s about the same age as me and probably the rest of this site. I find this laughable.

Age is just a part of expertise in life, you do know that correct? Many don’t work and come across different types of people everyday. Many don’t turn on the TV or read a paper because “everything is just bad news”. Many don’t know pop culture, like yourself.

Why if they are wearing masks? I thought masks protect us? Aren’t you still going to wear one after getting vaccinated?

You just said you never heard of the WAP song. I consider that pop culture and it has been the talk for awhile. No I said age is an part of it. Doesn’t mean you have more experience. I could be 60 and have done nothing in life but sit in my house with no job, friends, family, etc.

There is no discussion to be had. You stated I had no knowledge of pop culture, which is an insult. I am well within my rights to reply.
Oh, and ‘boomer’ and ‘Karen’ are a part of pop culture, but that flew right over your head.

Oh yeah I know you know the word Karen. Funny as I just found these gems the other day cleaning out my emails. These are direct quotes from you:
You really do need a muzzle. It’s a shame you had to say as an American I cannot vote because of where I live. I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO VOTE. So F you.
Or do you want to talk more about how your daughter lost her virginity at 15? I don’t care what age she lost it at, but maybe you should keep her privacy in mind. But you just don’t care.
You just care about yourself. Selfish female dog that does need a muzzle.
I’m ashamed that you are even an American and I pay taxes for your Karen a$$. You don’t deserve to live.
