all i was billed was 750 co pay and i didnt pay it. i think they reduced it to about 200 bc its been way overdue. i dont really plan on paying it!!! DS was also in nicu was 4 2 1/2 weeks.

I *think* it was $100 co-pay. Honestly I don't remember getting billed at all so it may be that everything was picked up.
Vaginal delivery, no pain meds, plsus a week stay for baby #1 in the hospital in the special care unit (preemie).

However, the hospital sent me a number of other bills. I just kept calling the insurance company and they told me I was not responsible for anything more than $500.
The hospital said that some of the doctors who saw me didn't take my insurance so I had to pay. I checked with my insurance and they said that I didn't have to pay.
Make sure you know exactly how much you'll have to pay out of pocket up front.

With DS we were only responsible for a $350 hospital copay.
This time I had a $300 in network deductible. Once that was met we were responsible for 10% of all charges until we hit a $1k out of pocket maximum.
So in total we were responsible for $1300 for me and the girls (this is for the pregnancy start to finish including hospital stay)
