again, not to rehash, its not comparing fetus and moose. Its someone in the name of God saying one life is worth more than another's. If we are bringing God into it, its not a human's decision to make, and we have the audacity to do that in the name of God.
IF we are using the God stance in the whole "Pro life" argument.... Its one thing to feed an animal to our children so they don't go to bed hungry.
Its another to say - eh, I'm stronger, I've got the gun, let us chase down some wolves and show them who's boss.....
Sorry, i jumped on this thread late.. so i probably missed a lot of what you said before. i do agree that it's not fair to kill animls just for the sake of killing them. i would be against animal cruelty... however, one life, IMO is worth more than another when it is a human vs. an animal.

And to compare pro-life a.k.a [anti abortion] with capital punishment is regodam_diculous. Seriously, no really seriously comparing the scum of the earth with an unborn child AWESOME
I'm sorry but murder is murder. Does it make it any more right because the person we are killing has already commited a crime? Does it make it right because it is a "sport"?

So what you are saying is an eye for an eye? This is the way our government should prosecute criminals? The same way other countries that we condemn treat their citizens? Seems like a huge contridiction to me.

well there are babies that are born that BECOME serial killers.
and there are people that are put to death that were wrongfully tried convicted and accused.
how can we possibly judge true "innocence"
(there are theories abounding about the nature v. nurture of sociopathics/psychotics and the like)
you are asking a pregnant woman to respect life above ALL things....yet you do not do that with convicted criminals...respect life above ALL things....even their apparent DIS respect of it.
if that is what you believe so be it...but don't call it something it aint.

Re: ok.. Palin is pro-life...
You know I am with you! But most of the population believes that a human life is of more value than an animal's. I personally believe that Pro-life should mean pro-all life in a Buddhist kind of way where we try to minimize the suffering we inflict on other sentient beings (whether they are human, animal, whatever).
I just find it so saddening that so many people are so adament in their pro-life/anti-abortion stance, yet they have no sympathy for animals (hunting, factory farms, animals for food, desecration of habitat and the resulting deaths).

As I have said before, I would never equate a moose with my future unborn children. No matter how cute a moose can be.
I don't really understand why people have such a problem with this, I TOTALLY understand being pro-choice and being against hunting but to feel like an animal is the same as a human - I will never understand. Even though I definitely love my dog like a human!
Of course, Liza - you can question this more than anyone since you are a Vegan but as for others who eat meat and all that, I don't understand the confusion.
So humans are the end-all-be-all of living things? WOW. Werent animals here WAY before we were???

Do you REALLY believe they believe or even care about that??
If people wanna help the environment, they should start simple like recycling, buying energy efficient items, car pooling etc

Some yes, but not all your right on that. I don't agree with the people who don't eat the animal and only display them to brag.

Re: ok.. Palin is pro-life...
Does Palin's stance on pro-life make any more sense then those who are pro-choice yet are active animal rights activists?
It's OK to kill an unborn child yet it's not OK to kill an animal?

I wonder how many criminals, murderers, rapists, killers, are the way they are because they were unwanted children born into horrific situations.
Where are all the people with the "Pro-life" signs AFTER these kids are born?
