Went to fat-burning Pilates tonight and attempted yoga...it was a substitute teacher for yoga and she was kind of a condescending tw@t to some of the folks in the class. DH and I walked out of the class because she had such bad vibes...we ended up hitting the treadmills for a bit before heading home.
And of course I reported her to the management staff.
Well that sucks Good. I hope they speak to her. That's BS

I drink a lot of water. Half my body weight which is 68 ounces minimum per day but some days you see I go over because I will guzzle a bottle of water when I am craving. I have to pee every five seconds though
I will also snack on healthy things - sugar free pudding snacks, tomatoes ask cottage cheese, cottage cheese packs, rice cakes, drink decaf teas, south beach ricotta cremes a re sweet treat life saver for me.
Eta: the less sugar intake less cravings and food with lower gmo index also help with keeping you full longer. Learned that in the south beach book.

I haven't tracked my food on here because I do it on the WW app and it just seems redundant to post in both places.
But, to answer your question- I drink a lot of herbal tea, plain (no honey or sugar) and/or have a piece of fruit when I want something sweet. When I'm craving salty, I do cut up fresh veggies and salsa. Sometimes a good tomato, sliced thick with some sea salt if I can get good tomatoes...which is hard this time of the year.

The first week was absolute torture - that's how lol I'm so tired of feeling so tired from the extra weight. Plus my cholesterol is not good at all. I just keep telling myself it's for the greater good !
This is my second week and it's so much easier. I cut out a lot of sugar, so once the cravings passed, it got better. I still have moments where I'm hungry and shouldn't be bc I just ate. I just make a big cup of tea (black) and sip it. Or I'll have a salad w just lettuce and balsamic or lemon squeezed over it. That acid helps my cravings

Re: 2016 Weight Loss Challenge
No loss this week. Womp womp! It's okay though. I'm busting my ass at the gym and eating well.
It's really hard for me to drop weight. I'm 34 but technically in menopause because of chemotherapy, so my hormones are jacked up and that affects being able to lose weight. So although I don't have much to lose, it takes longer than the average woman my age.
That's why this time around, I'm paying more attention to measurements and how my clothes fit, rather than the scale number.

Re: 2016 Weight Loss Challenge
If you guys are interested in a fun and really hard workout for free... on youtube they have Jillian Michaels "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" workout. It is 50 minutes and wow it was hard. I had to stop and start so much. I am hoping if I try it more often eventually I can do the whole thing without breaking.
Hope this helps anyone looking for a free at home long workout. It doesn't use weights or anything... just your body.
also whats the consensus here, is it better to eat before a workout, after a workout or both before and after?
